Introduction to Lord Buddha
Lord Buddha is considered one of the important incarnations of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism. He is described as the 23rd incarnation of Lord Vishnu in many Puranas and religious texts. According to religious texts, there came a time when the demons became extremely powerful through sacrifices and Vedic power. The gods became worried about their increasing power and prayed to Lord Vishnu for protection. Then Lord Vishnu, taking the form of Buddha, bewitched the demons and advised them to stay away from violence and sacrifices.
In this way, the power of the demons gradually started decreasing and the gods regained their heavenly abode. Based on this story, Lord Buddha is considered to be a divine incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who had taken the form of an incarnation to restore the balance of the universe.
Journey from Prince Siddhartha to Lord Buddha
Lord Buddha was born as the son of King Suddhodhana and Queen Mayadevi of Kapilavastu. His childhood name was Siddhartha. From childhood, he was extremely intelligent, calm and compassionate. King Suddhodhana provided all the luxuries and comforts in the palace to keep his son away from the sorrows of the world.
One day, when Siddhartha came out of the palace, he saw an old man, a sick man and a dead body. Seeing these scenes, he became very sad and started thinking about the truth of life. Then he saw a calm monk, seeing whom he got the inspiration to seek self-knowledge. Finally, he left the palace, wife Yashodhara and son Rahul and set out for meditation.
Lord Buddha's Enlightenment
After many years of rigorous penance and meditation, Siddhartha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya. From that moment on, he became known as the "Buddha," which means — the awakened or self-enlightened one.
After attaining enlightenment, Lord Buddha spent his entire life preaching truth, non-violence, the middle path, and compassion to mankind. He explained to people that desire and attachment are the root cause of suffering and that salvation can be achieved through the true path.

Lord Buddha is usually depicted in a meditative posture. He is seated in a lotus position and his face is marked by a sense of peace and radiance. The long hair on his head and long ears are considered symbols of spiritual knowledge.

Lord Buddha's father was King Suddhodhana and mother was Mahamaya. He was married to Princess Yashodhara. They had a son named Rahul. Despite spending his life amidst political splendor, Lord Buddha gave more importance to the spiritual path.
