Genesis of God Venus
According to mythology, Shukracharya was the son of Maharishi Bhrigu and Kavyamata. He had deep interest in Vedas, Shastras and knowledge from the very beginning. He went to sage Angiras ashram to get education, but there he experienced prejudice. He then acquired knowledge from Maharishi Gautama and became a great scholar through rigorous penance.
Shukracharya attained “Sanjeevani Vidya” by worshiping Lord Shiva ardently. With the influence of this divine knowledge, they used to revive the demons killed in the war. That is why the asuras accepted him as their guru. It is described in the Puranas that he made the Daityas powerful by giving them knowledge of religion, politics and warfare.

Shukracharya's father Maharishi Bhrigu and mother Kavyamata are mentioned in scriptures. His wife's name is said to be Urjaswati. From them he had sons named Chanda, Amarka, Tvastra and Dharatra and a daughter named Devayani. His second wife Jayanti is also mentioned in some texts.
The description of Devayani is found exclusively in the Mahabharata and other Puranas. Shukracharya's family is believed to be associated with knowledge, ethics and Daitya tradition.

Lord Shukra is usually depicted as having white complexion and divine aura. He is seated on a white lotus and his four arms are adorned with danda, japamala, potra and varamudra. His appearance is considered to be calm, bright and wise.
In various paintings and sculptures, Lord Shukra is shown riding a horse, camel or crocodile. Her white robes and bright appearance are considered symbols of purity, beauty and prosperity.
