The origin story of Goddess Brahmani
The description of the appearance of Goddess Brahmani is found in the Sri Durga Saptashati. After the destruction of the demons named Chand and Mund, the demon king Shumbha became extremely angry and sent his entire army of demons for war. Then Goddess Chandika made all directions resound with the sound of her bow. The entire universe trembled with the roar of the goddess's lion and the sound of the bell.
For the welfare of the gods and the destruction of the demons, the powers of many gods including Lord Brahma, Vishnu, Mahadev, Kartikeya and Indra manifested from her body. The power of each god assumed the same form as that god. First, the power of Lord Brahma manifested on the swan vehicle, which became famous as "Devi Brahmani".
Devi Brahmini wore an Akshamala and a Kamandalu in her hands and was illuminated with yellow radiance. She is considered a living symbol of knowledge, creation and spiritual power.

Devi Brahmini is depicted in yellow complexion and yellow clothes. Since she is the power of Lord Brahma, she is depicted in a four-faced form. Her vehicle is the swan, which is also considered the vehicle of Brahma. In some paintings, she is also depicted in a three-faced form.
Her hands are adorned with an Akshamala, a Kamandalu filled with water, and the blessing and abhaya mudra. In many statues, Goddess Brahmini is depicted with a child in her lap, which symbolizes the spirit of motherhood and nurturing.
