Introduction to the Festival:

Hariyali Amavasya, also called Hariyali Amas, is observed on the Amavasya (new moon day) during the Shravan month (July–August) according to the Hindu calendar. The word "Hariyali" means "greenery," and this day celebrates nature, agriculture, and divine blessings.

It is widely celebrated in North India, especially in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh, marking the arrival of the monsoon season.
