Amalki Ekadashi: A Sacred Day of Devotion and Health
Amalki Ekadashi is observed on the 11th day of the bright half of the Phalguna month. On this day, devotees worship the Amla (gooseberry) tree, believed to be the earthly abode of Lord Vishnu. It holds spiritual as well as medicinal significance.

Mythological Significance
According to scriptures, King Yudhishthira observed this fast after being advised by Lord Krishna. It is believed that Lord Vishnu resides in the Amla tree on this day, and worshipping it leads to liberation (moksha).

Ayurvedic Importance
Amla is considered a superfood in Ayurveda. Rich in Vitamin C, it improves immunity, purifies the blood, and enhances digestion. The tree is seen as both spiritually and physically purifying.

Fasting and Rituals
Devotees observe a fast, perform puja of the Amla tree, light lamps, and chant Vishnu’s names. Some also meditate and read Vishnu Sahasranama.
