Yudhisthira said to Lord Krishna: “Lord! How did Punyamayi Ekadashi Tithi originate? Why is it considered sacred in this world? And how did the gods come to be loved? ”
Shri Krishna spoke, “Kunthatinandan! It is a matter of ancient times. In the Satyug, there was a demon named Moore. Mahasura also conquered Indra in the form of a black demon. It was very wonderful, terrifying, roaring and terrible for the gods. All the gods were defeated by it and they were expelled from heaven. The defeated gods were wandering on the earth in doubt and fear. One day all the gods went to Mahadevji and Indra heard all the stories before Lord Shiva. Indra spoke, “Maheshwar! These gods are corrupting the heavens and roaming the earth. Living with human beings does not suit us. God! Show any remedy. Whom do the gods support? ”
Mahadevji said: “Devraj! Wherever there is refuge for all, Nara, Lord of the world, Gurudhdhvaj, who is ready to protect everyone, go there. They will do you good. ”
Lord Krishna says: Yudhisthira! Hearing Mahadevji's words, the supremely wise Devraj Indra went there with all the gods. Lord Gadadhar was resting in Kshirsagar. Seeing him, Indra joined hands and started praising him. Indra speaks: Devdeveshwar! Hello to you God! You are the husband, you are the mind, you are the doer, you are the cause. You are the mother of all and you are the father of this world. Oh my god O God! Surrender! The gods are afraid and have come to this. Lord! A giant named Mahabali Moore with a very fierce nature has conquered all the gods and expelled them from the heavens. Both gods and demons worship you. Pundrikaksh! These are the enemies of the demons. Madhusudan! Protect us. Jagannath! All the gods have surrendered to you in fear of a demon named Moore. Bhaktavatsal! Save us! Kamalnayan who destroys demons! Protect us.
Listening to Indra, Lord Vishnu spoke
Devraj Indra! What is that demon like? And what is form and force? And where is the abode of the wicked?
Indra speaks: Deveshwar! In the past, a great demon named Taljangh was born in the dynasty of Brahmaji. It was terrible. His son Moore became known as the Demon. It is also supremely heroic and terrifying to the gods. There is a famous town named Chandravati. It inhabits by making a place in it. That demon has defeated all the gods and expelled them from heaven. He has seated another Indra on the throne of heaven. He has also created fire, moon, sun, air and Varuna. Janardhan I am telling the truth. He has given all the places of the gods to others. He has deprived the gods of every place.
Hearing Indra's statement, Lord Vishnu became very angry. He went to Chandravati Puri with the deity and saw that Daityaraja was roaring again and again. And all the gods are running in ten directions out of fear. Seeing Lord Vishnu, the demon said, 'Stand up ... stand up!' Hearing this challenge, Lord Netro's eyes turned red with anger. They said: “O wicked demon! Look at my arms. ” Saying this, Shri Vishnu started killing the evil demons in front of him with his divine arrows. Pandunandan! After that, Shri Vishnu struck the chakra on the demon army. With this, a small number of warriors went to the brink of death.
After that, Lord Madhusudan! Badrikashram went to Chaldhya. There was a cave called Sinhavati. The twelve plans were long. Pandunandan! The cave had only one door. Lord Vishnu fell asleep in it. The demon also entered the cave. God should have slept there, he was overjoyed. He thought, “This is a god who is afraid of demons. So they should be killed as soon as possible. ” Yudhishthir! Just as the demon was thinking like this, a kanya appeared from the body of Lord Vishnu. She was very handsome, fortunate and armed with divine weapons. It emanated from the radiance of God. His strength and prowess were great. Yudhisthira! Danvaraj Moore saw Kanya, Kanya thought of war and started the war by challenging the demon for war. Kanya was clever in all kinds of martial arts. The great demon named Moore became a heap of ashes just by his roar. After the demon died, God woke up. He saw the demon lying on the ground and asked. 'This enemy of mine was very fierce and terrible. Who killed this? ”
Kanya speaks: “Swami! I have killed that great demon with your own offerings. ”
Shri Bhagwan said: “Kaldhyani! The sages and gods of the three worlds have rejoiced over your work. So ask for blessings according to what is high in your mind. I will give you that blessing even though it is rare! ”
That girl was really Ekadashi. He said: “Lord! If you are happy, then by your grace, I am the chief goddess in all pilgrimages, the destroyer of all sciences, and the giver of all kinds of achievements, Janardhan! Those who will fast on my day with devotion in you, they will get all the achievements! Madhav! Grant this, wealth, karma and salvation to those who observe my vows by fasting, fasting or just eating. ”
Shri Vishnu spoke: “Kalyani! Everything you say will come true. ”Lord Krishna says: “Yudhisthira! Mahavrata Ekadashi was very happy to receive such a blessing. Ekadashi of the parties is equally beneficial to both parties. There should be no distinction between Shukla and Krishna. If there is a little Ekadashi in Udayakala, a whole Ekadashi in the middle and maybe Teras at the end, it is called '
Trisnaparsha' Ekadashi. It is very dear to God. If one fasts on Trisparsha Ekadashi, one gets the fruit of one thousand Ekadashis. Ashtami, Ekadashi, Shashdi, Trithya and Chaturdashi, if they are bound from the East, should not be fasted. It is a statement of fasting only when it is free from the date of change. Have Ekadashi on the first day, day and night! And the next day there will be only one Prahar Ekadashi in the morning. ”
