Once upon a time, a Brahmin couple had no child, due to which they were very unhappy. Once a Brahmin went to the forest to worship Lord Hanuman. There he prayed to Mahavir for a son.
At home, his wife also used to fast on Tuesdays to get a son. She used to eat food by offering it to Hanuman ji at the end of the fast on Tuesday.
Once, on the day of the fast, the Brahmin could neither cook food nor offer it to Hanuman. She vowed that she would eat next Tuesday by offering bhog to Lord Hanuman.
He was hungry and thirsty for six days. He fell unconscious on Tuesday. Hanuman ji was pleased to see his loyalty and devotion. He gave a son to Brahmani as a blessing and said that it will serve you a lot.
The Brahmin was very happy to see the child. He named the child after her. After some time, when the Brahmin came home, he saw the boy and asked him who he was.
The wife said that after being pleased with the Tuesday fast, Hanuman gave her this child. The Brahmin did not believe his wife's words. One day, seeing an opportunity, the Brahmin threw the boy into the well.
On returning home, Brahmani asked, 'Where is Mangal? Then he smiled from behind. The Brahmin was surprised to see him back. At night, Hanuman appeared to him in a dream and told him that he had given him this son. The Brahmin was very happy to know the truth. After this, the Brahmin couple started fasting on every Tuesday.
The person who reads or listens to the Tuesday Vrat Katha and observes the fast by the rules, gets all the happiness by removing all the sufferings by the grace of Hanuman ji and becomes the recipient of Hanuman ji's mercy.
