Rath Yatra
Devotees go to the temple of the Lord for many months to pay obeisance, but the unripe seed is an occasion when the Lord Himself goes to the devotees to pay obeisance to them. Jagannathji's rathyatra takes place in many cities including Puri and Ahmedabad. In which millions of devotees take advantage of Darshan and pull the rope of the chariot to pave the way to Vaikuntha
The story behind Jagannathji's Rathyatra is very interesting. It is believed that once Goddess Subhadra came to Dwarika from her father-in-law. He expressed his desire to visit his two brothers. Lord Krishna and Balarama put them on a chariot and they rode on different chariots. Subhadra's chariot was kept in the middle and the three brothers and sisters set out on a city tour. In memory of Subhadraji's desire for a city tour, a rath yatra is held every year in Jagannathpuri and the festival lasts for ten days.
Every year a colorful rath yatra starts from Shri Jagannath temple. Devotees feel blessed by seeing Lord Krishna, Balbhadra and Subhadraji riding on the chariot. On closer inspection, the three statues are quite different from the common ones. The upper part of the three idols of the Rathyatra is found incomplete. There is a story behind it. According to that story, King Indradyumna lived with his family in Orissa near Nilanchal Sagar. Once King Indradyumna wanted to make idols of Lord Jagannath, Balram and Subhadraji. The thought kept running through his mind. One day they were drowning in the same thought. Eva saw a large piece of wood floating in the sea. He got inner inspiration to make idols out of this wood! But one problem arose, it was the search for the right sculptor. It is said that Jagannath Swami disguised Vishwakarma, the sculptor of the gods, and sent him to Naresh. Disguised as an old man, Vishwakarma came to the king. The old sculptor made a condition before the king that he would make the idol, but his work should not be hindered for twenty-one days. The king accepted the condition, then Vishwakarma went with the wood for sculpting work in a house near where Jagannathji's temple is now. The king's family did not know who this old sculptor was. The doors of the house remained closed for many days. The Empress wondered how this old sculptor could work without food. Fifteen days later, he realized that the old sculptor had died of starvation. The Empress expressed her suspicions to the King, so when the Maharaja opened the gate there were no old sculptors, but three statues half-built by him. The king and queen were sad to see this. At that very moment it was prophesied that, "O king! Don't be sad, we want to be the same. Sanctify the idols and establish them.
Blessings to Nardji
In Jagannath's rathyatra, there is a myth about Lord Krishna being followed by Balram and Subhadra instead of Radhaji or Rukmini and about his idol.
Once in Dwarika, Lord Krishna was sleeping with Rukmini etc. In the meanwhile, they started talking in their sleep. The Empresses were surprised. Even after waking up in the morning, Lord Krishna did not reveal his attitude to him. Rukminiji told all the queens that there is a gopkumari named Radha in Vrindavan, whom the Lord could not forget despite all our service, devotion and devotion. Mother Rohini must have known about Radhaji's Rasalilas with Lord Krishna, so all the Maharanis requested Mata Rohini to tell more about Radhaji and Rasalilas. At first Mother Rohini did not say much, but overcoming the great insistence of the Maharanis, she said, 'Okay, but first keep Subhadra standing at the door to dress, no one should come in, then why not Krishna or Balbhadra!'
Mother Rohini started narrating the story. Soon Lord Krishna and Balbhadra arrived there. However, Subhadraji stopped him at the gate, but the story of Sri Krishna and Radhaji's Rasalila was being heard by Sri Krishna, Balram and Subhadraji. Hearing this, Lord Krishna and Balbhadra began to experience Advaita Premaras. On the other hand, Subhadraji also became emotional. With the sudden arrival of Naradaji, they were undone.
Naradaji prayed to the Lord, 'O Lord, the majestic form in which I have seen you immersed in the idol form, may it always be adorned on earth for the common people' and the Lord blessed Naradaji and said tatastu.
