Mokshada Ekadashi
There is a myth behind this Mokshada Ekadashi. A king named Vaikhanas saw his ancestors lying in ugly vaginas in a dream one night. Seeing them all in such a state, the king was very surprised and in the morning he told the Brahmins about this dream.

In the earlier times there was a king named Vaikhanas who lived in his town The Brahmins were well versed in the four Vedas. Once the king had a dream His father had fallen into hell. So the next day he told the Brahmins that 'O Wipro, I had a dream in which my father appeared to me first.' O son, save me. Since then my chains of happiness are gone. Now you show me a suitable remedy.'
The Brahmins said to him, 'O Rajan, near here In the forest itself is the ashram of Parvat Muni. He is the sage trikaljani. You go to them and talk about your dreams. He will surely show the remedy.'
So the sad hearted king went to Parvat Muni's ashram along with the people. That ashram was very big. Many sages lived in it. When the king reached there, he saw Parvat Muni, saw his radiance, fell at his feet and spoke to him.
After listening to the king, Parvat Muni thought deeply and asked the king to perform Magashar Sud Agiyarash, which is called Mokshada Ekadashi. .
The king, feeling very peaceful with the words of the sage, came back to his kingdom with the ministers and the people. When the auspicious month of Magashar came, King Vaikhnar, according to Muni, took a vow of Mokshada Ekadashi and offered his poonya to the father along with all the ancestors. As soon as Punya was offered, flowers started raining from the sky. The father of Vaikhanas got rid of the males along with the ancestors and, standing in the sky, uttered these sacred words to the king: May your son be well! Saying this, he went to heaven.
According to this, the sins of those who take the vow of Mokshada Ekadashi are destroyed and after death they attain moksha. This Moksha-providing Mokshada Ekadashi is like a Chintamani for all the wish-fulfilling human beings. By reading and listening to this Mahatmya one gets the fruit of Vajpayee.”
How to do this Vrat -
Resolve the Vrat first of all
Get up on this day in the morning at Brahma Muhurta and take the Vrat first. After that, retire from bathing etc. and bathe with pure water, after that worship Lord Shri Krishna with incense, lamp, offering etc. sixteen things and offer Deepdan at night.
Do not eat anything after noon on the tenth day. Take fruit or milk only if you feel very hungry at night. On the day of Ekadashi, get up early and do the morning rituals and perform Devseva and Vishnu seva. Reciting one Vishnusahastra with incense lamp. After that take one loto of copper. Put water, rice and sandalwood in it and take the lot with the water and go to the nearest barrel and put three, five or seven rounds of barley in the barrel. If possible recite a Vishnusahastra there and then come home and do the routine.
